Melissa Barrera Martínez (lahir 4 Juli 1990) adalah seorang aktris dan penyanyi asal Meksiko. Di Meksiko, dia dikenal karena peran dalam telenovela Siempre tuya Acapulco (2013), Tanto amor (2015) dan serial Netflix, Club de Cuervos (2017). Secara internasional, dia dikenal karena perannya sebagai Samantha Carpenter dalam film horor Scream (2022) dan Scream VI (2023).[1][3][4]

Kehidupan pribadi

Barrera lahir dan besar di Monterrey, Meksiko. Dia belajar teater musikal di Tisch School of the Arts. Barrera menikah dengan artis musik Paco Zazueta, pada Februari 2019.[5][6] Mereka pertama kali bertemu di lokasi syuting La Academia pada tahun 2011, dan membawakan lagu "Cuando Me Enamoro" untuk episode keempatnya.[7][8][9] Mereka mulai berkencan pada September 2011.[8] Keduanya mengumumkan pertunangan mereka melalui Instagram pada Juni 2017.[10] Berkat perannya dalam media horor pada tahun 2022, Barrera dinobatkan sebagai "scream queen".[11][12]
