Lutung hitam putih

Presbytis bicolor atau biasa disebut lutung hitam putih adalah jenis monyet yang ada di keluarga cercopithecidae. Dahulunya diduga sebagai sub spesies dari simpai. tetapi analis genetik mengungkapkan bahwa ini adalah spesies yang berbeda. Lutung berwarna hitam dan putih merupakan monyet yang asli dari pulau sumatra di indonesia[1]

Deskripsi

Lutung hitam-putih Presbytis bicolor Aimi & Bakar, 1992 merupakan monyet pemakan daun endemik langka yang hanya terdapat dalam distribusi terbatas antara Sungai Indragiri dan Sungai Batanghari, Sumatra, Indonesia. Dalam makalah ini, kami merangkum catatan sejarah P. bicolor, memasukkan catatan sebarannya ke dalam peta (termasuk lokasi baru, namun masih dalam jangkauan geografis), dan memberikan informasi tambahan baru mengenai ekologinya. Kami mengumpulkan semua pengamatan kami terhadap P. bicolor yang dipublikasikan dan tidak dipublikasikan dari Januari 2016 hingga April 2022. Temuan kami menunjukkan bahwa P. bicolor dapat bertoleransi dan bertahan hidup di habitat hutan yang terdegradasi, khususnya di wilayah yang terdapat perkebunan karet. Dipastikan bahwa P. bicolor memakan daun pohon karet Para Hevea brasiliensis (Euphorbiaceae) dan Mangga Mangifera sp (Anacardiaceae); dan dilaporkan bahwa mereka juga memberi makan berbagai tanaman. Tidak ada indikasi perburuan atau pengumpulan ilegal untuk perdagangan hewan peliharaan, namun kematian akibat sengatan listrik dari kabel listrik dan kecelakaan di jalan telah terdeteksi dan dikonfirmasi untuk spesies ini.
