Kuala Terusan merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci, Kabupaten Pelalawan, provinsi Riau, Indonesia. Desa Kuala Terusan memiliki luas wilayah yaitu 10.000 ha². Secara geografis, Desa Kuala Terusan merupakan Desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci, Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau. Dengan jumlah penduduk di Desa Kuala Terusan pada bulan Juli 2021 sebanyak 470 jiwa, 121 KK yang terdiri dari 234 jiwa laki-laki dan jumlah perempuan sebanyak 236 jiwa. Desa Kuala Terusan memiliki 1 Kepala Dusun (KaDus), 2 Rukun Warga (RW) dan 4 Rukun Tetangga (RT). Desa Kuala Terusan ini memiliki iklim tropis dan dua musim, yaitu musim hujan dan musim kemarau. Desa Kuala Terusan memiliki wilayah yang dikelilingi oleh perairan. Desa Kuala Terusan memiliki fasilitas umum seperti sarana rumah ibadah, sarana kesehatan, sarana pendidikan dan sarana olahraga dan kesenian.

Desa Kuala Terusan berada tidak jauh dari jalan utama Tanjung Putus. Akses menuju Desa Kuala Terusan melalui jalan aspal serta menyebrangi sungai Kuala Terusan dengan transportasi laut seperti boat, kapal, roben, dan kucai.
