Kebrengan adalah sebuah desa yang terletak di kecamatan Mojotengah, kabupaten Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia.

Sejarah

Desa kebrengan merupakan desa peninggalan Belanda dengan tatanan yang sangat rapi dan pentuk pekarangan yang semuanya sama. dulunya desa kebrengan adalah 4 desa atau perdukuhan yang terpencar di perbukitan sekitar desa Kebrengan saat ini, dan dengan ide dari Belanda dan sesepuh desa maka dijadikan 1 desa yang lahannya dari tanah bengkok yang diratakan, hal ini terjadi karena pada tahun 1924 di 4 desa tersebut terjadi gempa yang sangat kuat sehingga menimbulkan kerusakan yang sangat parah, akhirnya keempat desa itu direlokasi ke lokasi oleh pemerintahan Kolonial Belanda yang saat ini menjadi desa Kebrengan. Tata ruang desa Kebrengan sudah sangat modern untuk jamannya bahkan hingga saat ini tata ruang tersebut tetap sesuai dengan kemajuan zaman, Desa Kebrengan terdiri atas 10 gang yang yang memanjang lurus dari arah timur ke barat dan 4 jalur memanjang dari arah selatan ke utara, rumah yang terdapat di dalam desa Kebrengan yang asli dibuat dari awal pendirian desa tidak ada yang menghadap ke barat maupun ke timur namun semua menghadap ke selatan dan ke utara menghadap ke 10 gang yang ada, sehingga depan rumah berhadapan dengan depan rumah, sementara belakang rumah berhadapan dengan belakang rumah yang lain, yang lebih luar biasa lagi di antara sela-sela belakan rumah ini terdapat saluran sanitasi untuk membuang semua limbah rumah tangga warga desa Kebrengan. Saluran sanitasi tersebut didorong oleh air yang mengalir dari jalur irigasi yang terdapat di sebelah barat desa dan kebetulan letaknya lebih tinggi dari desa kebrengan, saluran sanitasi tersebut semuanya mengalir ke arah timur desa di mana di sana terdapat saluran irigasi yang lain dan menampung saluran limbah rumah tangga tersebut untuk kemudian dialirkan ke sawah-sawah yang banyak di sekitar desa Kebrengan. Saat ini seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk di desa Kebrengan, pendirian rumah hunian di desa Kebrengan sudah melebar ke wilayah sekitar desa Kebrengan dan rumah-rumah tersebut sudah tidak seluruhnya mengahadap utara maupun selatan melainkan menyesuaikan dengan lokasi yang ada.
