Kata tahun ini

Kata tahun ini, kadang-kadang memakai huruf besar Kata Tahun Ini dan disingkat dalam bahasa Inggris WOTY (Word Of The Year) (atau WotY), merujuk pada salah satu dari berbagai penilaian mengenai kata atau ungkapan terpenting dalam ruang publik selama tahun tertentu.

Tradisi Jerman, Wort des Jahres sudah dimulai pada 1971. Kata Word of the Year Perhimpunan Dialek Amerika adalah versi bahasa Inggris tertua, dan menjadi satu-satunya yang diumumkan setelah akhir tahun, ditentukan oleh suara ahli bahasa independen, dan tidak terikat dengan kepentingan komersial.
