Kacamata ayam

Kacamata ayam, juga dikenal sebagai tesmak ayam, atau pelindung patukan ayam,[2] adalah kacamata kecil yang dibuat khusus untuk ayam. Kacamata ayam dikenakan pada ayam untuk mencegah ayam mematuk ayam lain atau melakukan kanibalisme. Kacamata ini berbeda dari penutup mata karena kacamata membiarkan ayam melihat ke depan sedangkan penutup mata tidak bisa digunakan untuk melihat sama sekali. Salah satu jenis kacamata ayam menggunakan lensa berwarna mawar sebagai pewarna yang dianggap mencegah ayam yang memakainya mengenali darah pada ayam lain, yang dapat meningkatkan kecenderungan perilaku agresif pada ayam. Kacamata ayam diproduksi secara massal dan dijual di seluruh Amerika Serikat pada awal abad ke-20.[3][4]
