Santo Josemaría Escrivá (9 Januari 1902 – 26 Juni 1975), (juga dikenal sebagai Jose María atau Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer y Albas, dilahirkan José María Mariano Escrivá Albas) adalah seorang pastur Katolik Roma Spanyol dan pendiri dari Opus Dei. Dia dikanonisasi oleh Paus Yohanes Paulus II, yang mengumumkan Santo Josemaria sebagai "saksi besar dari Kristen." [1]

Dekret Christifideles omnes dari Paus Yohanes Paulus II juga menyatakan: "Dengan mengundang orang Kristen untuk mencari persatuan dengan Tuhan melalui kerja sehari-hari mereka - yang memberikan harga diri pada umat manusia dan yang merupakan hak milik mereka selama mereka berada di bumi - pesannya bertujuan untuk bertahan sebagai sebuah sumber kerohanian yang tiada habisnya tanpa memandang epos dan situasi yang selalu berubah."
