John Richmond

John Richmond adalah seorang perancang busana yang lahir di Manchester pada tahun 1961 dan kemudian pindah ke London untuk menyelesaikan studinya di Kingston University pada tahun 1982.[1] John pernah bekerja sebagai perancang lepas untuk Emporio Armani, Fiorucci dan Joseph Tricot sebelum merilis label pertamanya, Richmond-Cornejo, sebuah kolaborasi bersama perancang Maria Cornejo pada tahun 1984.[1]

Pada tahun 1995, John berkenalan dengan pebisnis Italia, Saverio Moschillo, yang bertemu 10 tahun lebih awal di London, dan kemudian mereka bekerja sama.[2] Kolaborasi keduanya juga mewakili kemunculan saling pengertian dan persahabatan di antara keduanya.[2]

Koleksinya saat ini terorganisir menjadi dua grup, line pertama "John Richmond", dan difusi label “RICHMOND” yang mengeluarkan produk pakaian siap pakai dan denim.[1] Koleksinya dipengaruhi oleh semangat, kreativitas, spontanitas jiwa muda, dan budaya jalanan, Richmond juga terinspirasi oleh musik, gaya perbakaian para bintang seperti Madonna, Mick Jagger dan Annie Lennox.[3]
