John Jeffries
John Jeffries (5 Februari 1744-16 September 1819) adalah seorang ahli Fisika dari Amerika.[1] Ia lulus dari kuliahnya di Harvard pada tahun 1763, mempelajari obat-obatan di London dan Abeerden, kemudian kembali ke Boston pada tahun 1769.[1] Setelah melayani para tentara di Halifax sebagai ahli bedah dan umum, ia ditunjuk menjadi ahli bedah utama dalam tentara perang Amerika.[1] Di masa jayanya ia tinggal di London untuk melatih profesinya, menghabiskan waktunya dengan melakukan banyak pekerjaan ilmiah.[1]
