Isoelektronisitas

Isoelektronik atau Isoelektron atau isoelectronic (Isoelektronitas) ialah suatu efek khusus yang diamati disaat suatu entitas molekul yang berbeda memiliki konfigurasi (Pengaturan) elektron yang cukup identik. Ada dua atau bisa lebih dari suatu entitas molekul yang digambarkan sebagai isoelektronik yaitu jika mereka memiliki jumlah elektron valensi dan struktur yang benar-benar sama (jumlah dan konektivitas atom), tetapi mungkin agak memiliki beberapa perbedaan dalam beberapa elemen yang terlibat.[1]

Definisi ini juga malah kadang-kadang disebut sebagai valensi isoelektronik, berbeda dengan berbagai alternatif. Pada satu ekstrim ini memerlukan identitas jumlah elektron total dan dengan itu seluruh konfigurasi elektron. Lebih umum, alternatif lebih luas, dan dapat diperluas untuk memungkinkan jumlah atom yang berbeda dalam Spesies dibandingkan.[2] Pentingnya konsep ini terletak pada pengidentifikasian spesies yang berhubungan secara signifikan, sebagai pasangan atau seri. Spesies isoelektronik dapat diharapkan untuk menunjukkan konsistensi dan prediktabilitas yang berguna dalam sifatnya. (Perbedaan tipis, misalnya, formula struktural, seperti Ikatan rangkap VS (versus) Ikatantunggal, hal ini umumnya memiliki efek yang besar).

Perhitungan kerapatan elektron telah dilakukan pada banyak zat umum, menghasilkan prediksi reaksi. Mengidentifikasi senyawa baru, langka, atau ganjil sebagai isoelektronik dengan senyawa yang sudah ditandai menawarkan petunjuk untuk kemungkinan sifat dan reaksi.[3]
