Baterai sekali pakai

Baterai sekali pakai adalah jenis baterai yang hanya dapat digunakan satu kali. Energi listrik yang disimpan di dalam baterai sekali pakai lebih padat dibandingkan baterai isi ulang. Baterai sekali pakai memiliki umur simpan yang sangat lama. Hal ini merupakan efek dari kehilangan muatan listrik yang lebih lambat selama masa penyimpanan. Baterai sekali pakai dapat digunakan dalam waktu rata-rata minimal lima tahun. Dalam rumah, pemakaian baterai sekali pakai adalah pada pendeteksi kebakaran dan pengendali jarak jauh bagi peralatan elektronik. Pada keadaan darurat, baterai sekali pakai dapat dipakai sebagai sumber energi bagi senter. Baterai sekali pakai tidak cocok untuk penyaluran arus listrik bernilai besar. Nilai hambatan liistrik pada bahan listrik yang digunakan untuk membuat baterai sekali pakai harus sama dengan 75Ω. Pada pemakaian tertentu, nilai hambatannya diizinkan melebihi 75Ω.[1]
