Anturan adalah desa di Kecamatan Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng, Provinsi Bali, Indonesia.[4]

Sejarah Desa

Wilayah Desa Anturan sebelumnya merupakan bagian dari wilayah Pandan Banten yang disebut Banjar Asatan. Tempat ini merupakan peristirahatan (bebatuan) bagi rombongan kerajaan sebelum sampai di puri Buleleng. Sebagai tempat persinggahan, lama kelamaan banyak orang mulai menetap di wilayah ini terutama pedagang (penglu) untuk berjualan dan menawarkan barang bagi rombongan yang singgah di sana. Di samping itu, untuk menghibur para rombongan kerajaan, berbagai kesenian juga banyak dikembangkan, misalnya Tari Gambuh yang ada sampai sekarang dan tari-tarian klasik lainnya. Karena banyak yang menetap, para pedagang ini lama kelaman mulai membeli tanah dari hasil penjualan barang daganganya.

Seiring dengan perkembangan sekitar pertengahan tahun 1800-an, mereka yang sudah menetap banyak di antaranya membangun tempat pemujaan kepada para leluhurnya (sanggah/merajan). Dari masing-masing sanggah atau merajan ini kemudian menyatukan diri dalam sebuah pemaksan yang terdiri dari beberapa sanggah. Dengan perkembangan dari tahun ke tahun, jumlah yang menempati Banjar Asatan semakin banyak maka pada sekitar tahun 1800 an dibangunlah sebuah desa dengan Pura Desa, Pura Puseh dan Pura Dalem yang dilengkapi dengan kuburan (setra) yang diberi nama desa Anturan dengan wilayah bagian selatannya sampai Pura Pasek Gelgel sekarang.

Pada tahun 1900-an, salah satu dari keluarga di Desa Anturan, anak gadisnya dilarikan ke Desa Selat dan dikawinkan maka sebagai kompensasinya wilayah Desa Anturan diperluas lagi ke selatan sampai Pura Sari, kira-kira 2 km ke selatan dari batas sebelumnya.[5]

Demografi

Penduduk desa Anturan sampai dengan tahun 2016 berjumlah 5.125 jiwa terdiri dari 2.528 laki-laki dan 2.597 perempuan dengan sex rasio 97,34.[2]
