Aniplus Asia adalah layanan 24 jam saluran hiburan umum yang fokus pada penyiaran anime dalam wilayah Asia tenggara. Saluran ini diluncurkan pada tanggal 25 November 2013 dan saat ini tersedia di Singapura, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand dan Filipina. Mereka juga melayani streaming dalam platform OTT seperti iflix,[1] HOOQ,[2] LeEco dan Tribe. Aniplus Asia berbasis di Singapura, sementara perusahaan induknya Aniplus berkantor pusat di Korea Selatan.

Saluran ini menyiarkan seri anime terbaru dari Jepang. Seri mereka yang terkenal seperti contohnya adalah Attack on Titan, Psycho-Pass, Kantai Collection, The Ancient Magus' Bride, dan Isekai Quartet

Sejarah

Aniplus Asia pertama kali diluncurkan di Singapura pada bulan Maret 2014 bekerjasama dengan provider TV berbayar Singtel TV.[3] Pada bulan Agustus 2015, mereka mulai bekerjasama dengan layanan OTT iflix untuk mendistribusikan 21 judul tayangan melalui layanan video on demand yang iflix miliki.[1] Di bulan Juni 2016, Aniplus juga mulai diluncurkan di Thailand sebagai siaran blok lewat channel Now26 berkat kesepakatan dengan Mediaplex International.[4] Pada bulan September pada tahun yang sama, Aniplus juga diluncurkan di Hongkong melalui situs streaming Le.com. Berikutnya pada bulan November, Tribe mulai bekerjasama dengan Aniplus di Indonesia, dan juga mulai merambah ke Filipina pada bulan selanjutnya melalui platform yang sama.[5]

Pada bulan Januari 2017, Aniplus mulai bekerjasama dengan channel free-to-air Filipina TV5 untuk memulai ulang program animasi bawaan TV5 ANiMEGA. Tayangan perdananya meliputi Attack on Titan: Junior High, Myriad Colors Phantom World dan Kantai Collection, disulihsuarakan ke bahasa Tagalog.[6] Selanjutnya pada bulan Februari, Aniplus diluncurkan di Malaysia menggandeng kerjasama dengan penyedia TV satelit Astro.[7] Pada bulan Mei pada tahun yang sama, Aniplus juga hadir kembali di Filipina, namun melalui penyedia TV kabel Sky Cable[8] dan juga di Easy TV Home (Philippines) pada tanggal 25 Mei 2018.[9]
