1787年,柏林,迈蒙開始了解康德哲学。1790年,迈蒙发表了《先验哲学论文》 (Versuch über die Transcendentalphilosophie),反对康德体系。康德似乎认为迈蒙是他最精明的批评家之一。 [6]1791年,迈蒙发表了对迈蒙尼德的《迷途指津》的评论 《指南之山》(גבעת המורה)。 1792年3月,出版自传(Lebensgeschichte)。
晚年,在西里西亚
1795年,迈蒙搬到下西里西亚,西里西亚贵族冯·卡尔克罗伊特伯爵 (Count von Kalckreuth,1766-1830) [9]的庄园。1800年,迈蒙死於酗酒,享年48岁。[10][11]
