2021年德國聯邦議院選舉（德語：Bundestagswahl 2021）於2021年9月26日依據德國基本法第39條舉行，以選出第20屆德國聯邦議院成员。即将卸任的总理安格拉·默克尔宣布不会再参加这届的选举，结束了16年的总理生涯，[2] 这是德国于二战战后第一次现任总理没有寻求连任的选举。[3]初步结果显示，德国社民党以小幅优势击败基民盟取得了此次选举的胜利。[4]

選舉制度

德国联邦议院拥有598名议员，当选后任期四年。小選區和比例代表各佔299名，使用联立制分配。选民第一次为选区代表投票，第二次为政黨投票，然后根据列表来平衡党派以符合第二次投票的分配。席位分配使用圣拉古法。如果一党得到比其投票分享赋予它以（悬峙席位）更多的席位，另外的补偿席位将被加入以使得其他党派得到比例数目的席位，但只有在全國得票率5%以上或贏得3個單一選區席次的政黨才能參與席次分配。[5] 而被認定為少數民族的代表政黨，則能免除選舉門檻。[6]

日期

依據基本法第39條，第20屆聯邦議院選舉應於第19屆聯邦議院成立後的46－48個月舉行。而第19屆聯邦議院於2017年10月24日成立。而又根據聯邦選舉法，選舉日必須在禮拜天或是國定假日舉行，因此選舉日只有可能在8月29日、9月5、12、19、26日與10月3日、10日、17日、或24日舉行。

選舉日會由德國總統決定，並且一般會在9月的最後一個或倒數第二個週日舉行，也就是2021年9月19日或26日。最終總統決定日期為後者。同日舉行的還有柏林以及梅克倫堡-西波美拉尼亞邦選舉。

時任德國總理梅克爾在2018年10月29日表示，她不會再爭取第四次的連任。而黨內一度呼聲最高的時任黨魁克朗普-凱倫鮑爾也在2020年2月10日宣布放棄成為總理候選人。黨魁之位在一年後由北萊茵-威斯伐倫州長阿明·拉舍特贏得。
