2008–09年香港高級組銀牌是第 107 屆香港高級組銀牌，並於2008年11月22日展開角逐。衛冕冠軍東方、上屆亞軍傑志以及上屆香港甲組足球聯賽冠軍南華被列為種子球隊，首輪將會輪空。今屆賽事更首獲香雪上清飲贊助，獎金會由上屆 8 萬港元增至 10 萬港元，並會冠名為「上清飲高級銀牌賽」[1]。賽事勝出的球隊將可以參加2010年亞洲足協盃。

上屆冠軍東方及亞軍傑志於本屆賽事第一場出戰便宣告落敗，雙雙提早在半準決賽出局。而決賽由則由康宏晨曦迎戰天水圍飛馬。結果，首次參加甲組賽事的天水圍飛馬以 3–0 擊敗康宏晨曦，奪得冠軍。然而，由於天水圍飛馬並非香港足球總會的基本會員，因此球隊未能代表香港出戰亞洲足協盃；而原本這個席位最終交由2008–09年香港足總盃冠軍新界地產和富大埔奪得[2]。

13 隊於2008–09年香港甲組足球聯賽角逐的球隊均會參加是次比賽，其中有 10 隊需要參與第一圈的比賽。勝出的 5 隊將會聯同另外的 3 支種子球隊晉身半準決賽，並繼續以淘汰形式進行，直至決出冠軍。
