蒙彼利埃地中海都会区（法語：Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole，简称“3M”）是由法国南部城市蒙彼利埃及其周边30个市镇所组成的一个市镇公共合作组织[1]，位于法国奥克西塔尼大区埃罗省，其前身为1965年成立的蒙彼利埃地区（法语：Montpellier District），于2001年改为城市圈公共社区，并于2005年升级为城市公共社区。2015年1月1日，该公共社区获得“都会区”地位[2]，成为法国22个都会区之一。

历史

  • 1965年，蒙彼利埃地区成立，由12个市镇组成；同年，另有3个市镇加入。
  • 2001年8月1日，蒙彼利埃地区改为蒙彼利埃城市圈公共社区
  • 2005年，托湖城市圈公共社区（communauté d'agglomération du Bassin de Thau）和北托湖市镇公共社区（communauté de communes du Nord du Bassin de Thau）整体合并入蒙彼利埃城市圈公共社区，总人口数量超过50万，达到城市公共社区标准。
  • 2015年1月1日，蒙彼利埃都会由城市公共社区升级为都会区（Métropole）[2]。
