舒斯特环形山(Schuster)是月球背面赤道区附近一座古老的大撞击坑，约形成于酒海纪[1]，其名称取自德裔英籍物理学家弗朗茨·亚瑟·弗里德里希·舒斯特（英语：Arthur Schuster）爵士(Franz Arthur Friedrich Schuster，1851年-1934年)，1970年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。

描述

该陨坑位于巨大的门捷列夫环形山东侧外壁上，西邻亨德森陨石坑、东南靠近恰普雷金环形山。其中心月面坐标为4°26′N 146°25′W / 4.44°N 146.42°W / 4.44; -146.42，直径100.08公里[2]。 深度2.86公里[3]。

舒斯特环形山是一座已磨损和侵蚀的撞击坑，与门捷列夫环形山相重叠的西半侧坑壁最完整，北侧内坡和坑底上覆盖着一群相联的小坑簇， 西南侧边缘上则坐落着卫星坑"舒斯特 N"和"舒斯特 R"；舒斯特环形山坑壁高出周边地形1480米，内部容积约9939.84公里3[1]。坑底表面较为崎岖，中心处坐落着一座中央峰，坑内东半部密布着众多细小的陨坑。

在1970年国际天文学联合会正式命名前[4]，该环形山被称为陨石坑 218[5]。
