查尔斯·康拉德·阿博特（英語：Charles Conrad Abbott，1843年6月4日—1919年7月27日）是美国考古学家和博物学家。

生平

1843年出生在新泽西州的特伦顿，在宾夕法尼亚大学医学院学习医学。[1]在南北战争期间，他担任联邦军的外科医生。他于1865年从UPenn获得医学士学位。

1876年，他宣布在特拉华河谷发现了威斯康辛冰期（末次冰期）人类存在的痕迹，推测那是人类已经到达北美大陆，后来被其他考古学家证实。[2] 然而，今天的考古学家大认为，阿博特大多数的"特伦顿碎石工具"都是中伍德兰时期（A.D.300–900）的。[3] 1876年到1889年，他担任马萨诸塞州剑桥皮博迪博物馆的副馆长，他收集了2万多件考古标本；他还慷慨地捐赠了其他的考古收藏。 1889年到18943年，他新建的宾夕法尼亚大学考古及人类学博物馆工作。

他也是波士顿自然历史学会会员，费城美国哲学学会会员，哥本哈根皇家北方古物学会会员。 1919年，他在新泽西的家被烧毁后，搬到了宾州的布里斯托尔，然后去世，享年76年。

他的书 Primitive Industry: Illustrations of the Hand-work in Stone, Bone, and Clay of the Native Races of the Northern Atlantic Seaboard of America (Salem, 1881) 详细介绍了特拉华河谷地区冰川前期人类存在的证据， 是对美国考古学的宝贵贡献。 他常在《美国博物学家》、《科学》、《自然》、《科学新闻》和《科技新时代》发文。 他还出版了许多户外观察的书，如 A Naturalist's Rambles about Home (1884).
