地理

新奧勒松位於斯匹次卑爾根島奧斯卡二世地的Brøggerhalvøya半島的北岸。該鎮位於斯匹次卑爾根島西海岸的孔斯峽灣（字面意思是“國王灣”）的南岸，與格陵蘭海的福蘭松德相連。新奧勒松對面是Blomstrandøya島和以前的Ny-London定居點。

由於新奧勒松沒有任何正式的區域。如果使用 Kings Bay 擁有的土地來定義該鎮，它將有 300 平方公里（120 平方英里）的面積，將涵蓋 Kongsfjorden 的北岸和南岸。Kings Bay 保留該地區所有土地的所有權，但採礦權由 Store Norske 持有。
