文學獎

文學獎是指頒發給優秀作家或优秀作品的獎項。

组织机构

大多数的文学奖其背后都有对应的组织机构。大部分奖项都是由非营利组织颁发，小部分由企业赞助以支付奖金和颁发活动费用，这些企业有时会将自己名称附在奖项上（如百利女性小說獎）。

奖项种类

包括小说和诗歌等文学形式都有其文学奖，许多奖项是为特定文学形式（如科幻小说和政治小说）而设立,还有许多奖项是为特定语言下的作品而设立，例如米格尔·德·塞万提斯奖（西班牙语）[1]、卡蒙斯文學獎(葡萄牙语)[2]，布克奖[3] 、普利策奖、雨果奖[4] 、国际IMPAC都柏林文学奖都是颁发给英语作品或作家的奖项。

其它国际奖项有诺贝尔文学奖、卡夫卡獎、耶路撒冷奖等。
