性网络

性网络(英語:sexual network)是指人群通过性关系而形成的社交网络

研究与发现

与其他社交网络相同,性网络可以使用图论网络理论等进行研究。[1][2]

最近的流行病学研究发现[3],性网络的统计性质对性病的传播是至关重要的。在总体的性网络图中可以定义各种子图,如经常去酒吧或俱乐部的人群、属于某一特定种族的人群、参与某种特定性生活的人群或与性病某次爆发有关的人群等。特别是拥有大量性伴侣的人之间的相称配合(assortative mixing)是性病传播的重要因素。

一个或许让人惊讶的事实是,数学模型表明人类的性网络图呈现出单一的最大连通分支(giant component),几乎所有拥有超过一个性伴侣的人以及绝大多数拥有一个性伴侣的人之间都间接相连。不在这一最大连通分支中的人大多为处男处女以及从未和其他人发生过性关系的夫妻。
