Phú Xuyên là một xã thuộc huyện Đại Từ, tỉnh Thái Nguyên, Việt Nam.

Địa lý

Xã Phú Xuyên nằm ở phía tây huyện Đại Từ, có vị trí địa lý:

Xã Phú Xuyên có diện tích 24,15 km², dân số năm 1999 là 6.383 người, gồm các dân tộc Kinh, Tày, Nùng, Dao, Sán Chỉ, Thái, Hoa..., mật độ dân số đạt 266 người/km².[1]

Quốc lộ 37 cùng đường sắt Quan Triều - Núi Hồng chạy qua địa bàn xã.

Lịch sử

Thời kỳ phong kiến, xã Phú Xuyên có tên là Vị Xuyên, thuộc huyện Văn Lãng, phủ Thái Nguyên.

Năm Khải Định thứ 6 (1922), huyện Văn Lãng sáp nhập vào huyện Đại Từ.

Sau năm 1945, xã Phú Xuyên và xã Yên Lãng hợp thành một xã lấy tên là xã Cao Vân thuộc huyện Đại Từ.

Đầu năm 1960, xã Cao Vân tách ra thành hai xã như cũ, riêng xã Vị Xuyên đổi tên thành xã Phú Xuyên như hiện nay.

Hành chính

Xã Phú Xuyên được chia thành 16 xóm: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, Chính Phú 1, Chính Phú 2, Chính Phú 3, Khuân Ngàn, Quyên, Tân Lập.[3]

Kinh tế - xã hội

Phú Xuyên là một trong 19 xã ATK của tỉnh Thái Nguyên với các ưu tiên về đầu tư phát triển kinh tế - xã hội.[4]

Nền kinh tế của xã chủ yếu là nông lâm nghiệp, ngoài trồng cây chè chủ đạo, người dân còn trồng lúa, hoa màu, cây keo, mỡ, lát và chăn nuôi.

Trên địa bàn xã có nhà máy nước sạch Suối Hương, làng nghề chè truyền thống Chính Phú. Chợ Phú Xuyên là một trung tâm mua bán chè lớn của huyện Đại Từ.

Trên địa bàn xã có 3 trường học, gồm trường Mầm non Phú Xuyên, trường tiểu học Phú Xuyên và trường THCS Phú Xuyên.

Văn hóa

Tháng 1 năm 1950, tại xã Cao Vân diễn ra Đại hội Tổng liên đoàn lao động Việt Nam lần thứ nhất do ông Hoàng Quốc Việt chủ trì.

Tháng 2 năm 1950, diễn ra Đại hội đại biểu Đoàn thanh niên cứu quốc lần thứ nhất do Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh sáng lập.

Tháng 4 năm 1950, diễn ra Đại hội đại biểu Liên hiệp phụ nữ toàn quốc lần thứ nhất.

Năm 1951 theo sắc lệnh của Hồ Chí Minh, ngành vận tải Việt Nam được thành lập, tiền thân của Bộ giao thông vận tải Việt Nam, tại Trường tiểu học Phú Xuyên hiện nay có khu lưu niệm của Bộ giao thông vận tải.

Xã Cao Vân cũng là địa điểm tổ chức ngày Quốc tế thiếu nhi đầu tiên của Việt Nam.[5]

Du lịch

Phú Xuyên có nhiều đồi núi, khe suối, ao, hồ.

Xã có hai cây đa cổ thụ, có từ thời phong kiến, mọc hai bên đường quốc lộ 37, rễ chùm đan vào nhau giống như một cổng chào lớn.

Trên địa bàn xã có khu du lịch tự nhiên Thác Ba Dội (Đát Đắng), nằm dưới chân dãy núi Tam Đảo, phía ngoài là hồ Vai Bành, một hồ nhân tạo được tỉnh Thái Nguyên xây dựng trong thập niên 1980, nhằm phục vụ cho nông nghiệp của xã .
