Aberdeenshire Cup là giải đấu cho tất cả các câu lạc bộ thuộc Aberdeenshire and District Football Association (ADFA), là các đội đến từ hạt lịch sử Aberdeenshire và Banffshire. Aberdeenshire Cup hiện tại được tài trợ bởi báo Evening Express.

Aberdeen F.C. là đội bóng thành công nhất giải đấu với số lần vô địch kỷ lục là 35 lần. Đương kim vô địch là Buckie Thistle sau khi đánh bại Cove Rangers trong loạt sút luân lưu sau khi hòa 2-2 trên sân Harlaw Park, Inverurie.

Nguồn gốc

Giải đấu được tổ chức lần đầu năm 1887 bởi ADFA, được thành lập cùng năm.[1] Các đội bóng đầu tiên bao gồm Aberdeen, Orion, Caledonian, Aberdeen Athletic, Aberdeen Rovers, Aberdeen Rangers, Bon Accord, Black Diamond, Turriff Our Boys, Albert, Rosebery, Britannia, Granite City, Aberdeen City Wanderers và Balmoral. Dr Maitland Moir, chủ tịch danh dự, đại diện ADFA với chiếc cup mà sau này trở thành tài sản của Aberdeen sau chức vô địch thứ 2 năm 1889.[2] Sau đó ADFA mua một chiếc cup mới mà lần đầu được trình diện sau trận chung kết năm 1890.[3][4] Vị trí của chiếc cup gốc hiện tại vẫn chưa rõ.
