Yoy — 1) matematikada — egri chiziq yoki aylananing istalgan ikki nuqtasi orasidagi qismi. Masalan, aylana yoyi. Bir aylanada yoki birbiriga teng ikki aylanada teng Yo.larga teng vatarlar moye keladi va, aksincha, kattaroq Yo.ga kattaroq vatar toʻgri keladi; 2) kad. urush va ov quroli, kamalak. Hozir undan sport maqsadlarida foydalaniladi; 3) yomgir tomchilarida yorugʻlikning sinishi, qaytishi va difraksiyasi tufayli osmonda hosil boʻladigan yarim doyra shaklidagi rangbarang kamalak.[1]
