Ioni dengizining Patrikos qoʻltigʻidagi port (chetga magiz, vino, jun, zaytun moyi chiqariladi). P.dan Italiyaning Brindizi shahriga parom qatnaydi. Mashi-nasozlik, shina ishlab chiqarish, yogʻochsozlik, koʻn-teri, oziq-ovqat, toʻqimachilik, qogʻoz sanoati korxonalari; universitet bor. Turizm rivojlangan. Meʼmoriy yodgorliklardan qasr va boshqa saqlangan.[1]
