Ilmen — RF Novgorod viloyatidagi koʻl. Mayd. 982 km2 (suv sathi 733 km2 dan 2090 km2 gacha oʻzgarib turadi). Uz. qariyb 45 km, eni 35 km. Chuq. 10 m gacha. Qirgʻoklari, asosan, botkrklikdan iborat. Koʻlga 50 tacha irmoq quyiladi. Koʻldan Volxov daryosi oqib chiqadi. noyabr da muzlab, aprel da muzdan boʻshaydi. Baliqovlanadi. Kema qatnaydi. I. dan 6 km narida Volxov daryosi boʻyida Novgorod sh. joylashgan.[1]
