Hulkar — Savr yulduz turkumida joylashgan tarqoq yulduz toʻdasi. Oddiy koʻz bilan 6—9 ta eng yorugʻ yulduzini koʻrish mumkin. Toʻdada taxminan 540 ta yulduz bor. Eng yorugʻ yulduzi — Altsiona yoki Savrning g\ si V spektral sinfga kiruvchi qaynoq yulduzlar. Ravshanligi 2,9. Butun toʻdani qoplab olgan changli tumanlik mavjud. H.ning diametri 15 parsek (-49 yorugʻlik yili). Barcha yulduzlari fazoda deyarli bir tomonga parallel harakat qiladi. XIX asr oxirlaridayoq Toshkent rasadxonasida H.ning noyob fotosuratlari olingan edi.
