Grivs Jon
Grivs Jon (1602 - 1652) - ingliz astronomi. Oksford (Angliya) universiteti professor Yevropada birinchi boʻlib "Ulugʻbek ziji"ni tekshirgan. Unda berilgan yulduzlar jadvalidagi 98 yulduzning vaziyatini uz ichiga olgan birinchi ishi lotin tilida Oksfordda (1648) eʼlon qilingan. Shu yili Londonda geografik jadvallar, ikki yildan keyin esa xronologiyasi bosildi. Bu ikkala ishi "Ulugʻbek ziji" asosida yozilgan. G. asarlari XV asr Samarqand olimlari ishlarini oʻrganish va yoyishga gʻarb olimlari diqqatini jalb etdi.
