Gremda Tunis Sfax guberniyasida joylashgan bo'lib, 2004-yilda uning aholisi 36 405 ta kishini tashkil etgan[1].
Bu mamlakatning eng yirik zaytun bozori hisoblanib, ayniqsa dekabr oyida bu bozor vakillari zaytundan juda katta daromad olishadi. Sfax viloyati zaytun bilan shug'ullanish bo'yicha mamlakatda birinchi o'rinda turadi shu bilan birga, mamlakatning mingta neft fabrikalarining uchdan bir qismi shu yerda joylashgan.
