Frigiya

Frigiya (Phrygia) — Kichik Osiyoning shim.gʻarbiy qismidagi qadimgi mamlakat. Aholisi miloddan avvalgi XV—XIII asrlarda Yevropadan koʻchib kelgan hindevropa kabilalari — frigiyaliklar. Frigiya miloddan avvalgi XIII asr da yunonlarga qarshi kurashda Troyata yordamlashgan. Miloddan avvalgi 10—VIII asrlarda poytaxti Gordion shahri boʻlgan podsholik vujudga kelgan. Miloddan avvalgi 546 y. forslar, miloddan avvalgi 333 y. Aleksandrta tobe boʻlgan. Miloddan avvalgi 133 y. frigiyaning bir qismi rimliklar qoʻl ostiga, sharqiy qismi Galatiya provinsiyasi tarkibiga oʻtgan. Vizantiya imperiyasi davrida frigiya geografik va siyosiy mavqeini yoʻqotgan.
