Fokus (lotincha: focus — oʻchoq, olov), optikada — nurlarning parallel dastasi optik tizimdan oʻtganidan soʻng dasta nurlari kesishadigan (yoki, agar tizim parallel dastani yoyiluvchi dastaga aylantirsa, nurlarning davomi kesishadigan nuqtadir. Agar nurlar tizimning optik oʻqiga parallel boʻlsa, fokus shu oʻqda joylashadi; bu holda u bosh fokus deb ataladi. Har qaysi optik tizim ikkita bosh fokusga ega: predmet joylashgan fazodagi old bosh fokus va tasvir hosil boʻlgan fazodagi orqa fokus (yana qarang: Linza). Ideal optik tizimda hamma fokuslar tizimning optik oʻqiga perpendikulyar boʻlgan vafokal tekislik deb ataladigan tekislikda yotadi. Real tizimda esa fokus boshqa bir fokal sirtda joylashishi mumkin.
