Finningia

Finningia – Finlyandiyaning Fennia, Finnia va eng koʻp ishlatiladigan Finlandiya bilan birga qoʻllangan eski Lotin nomi. Bu nom birinchi marta Finlyandiya qirolligini koʻrsatish uchun Skandinaviya xaritasiga Finningia olim regnum nomini joylashtirgan 1539-yildagi Olaus Magnusning ishida uchraydi[1]. Bu nom, ehtimol, Pliniy Elderning Aeningia haqidagi notoʻgʻri tushunchasi boʻlib, ehtimol Finlyandiyani emas, balki hozirgi Boltiqboʻyi davlatlari hududini anglatishi ham mumkin[2]. Aeningia birinchi marta 1532-yilda Jacob Ziegler tomonidan Finlyandiya bilan aralash tarzda qoʻllangan[3].
