Darvin — Avstraliyaning shim. qis-midagi shahar. Shim. hududning maʼmuriy markazi. Aholisi 88,1 ming kishi (1999). Timor dengizi soxilidagi port. Shosse va temir yoʻl orqali Port-Ogasta sh. va mamlakat janubi bilan bogʻlangan. Xalqaro aeroport bor. Yetakchi sanoat tar-mogʻi — oziq-ovqat sanoati (goʻsht va baliq konservasi i.ch.). Taxta tilish korxonalari, aviatsiya va temir yoʻl ustaxonalari mavjud. Aholining bir qismi baliqovlash bilan shugʻullanadi. D. yaqinidan mis rudasi olinadi. Shaharga 1869 yilda asos solingan va ingliz olimi Ch. Darvin nomi bilan atalgan.
