Bulat
Bulat (forscha „poʻlod“, „poʻlat“) — tarkibida temir va ugleroddan boshqa elementlar deyarli boʻlmaydigan juda qattiq elastik quyma poʻlat. Oʻziga xos tuzilishiga ega, sirti „naqshli“ jilolanib turadi. Ilgari Hindiston, Oʻrta Osiyo, Eron va Suriyada (Damashq poʻlati nomi bilan) tayyorlangan; undan, asosan, gʻoyat pishiq va oʻtkir tigʻli qilich, xanjar va boshqa buyumlar yasalgan. Qadimda poʻlat tayyorlash usuli sir saqlanib kelinar edi. Uning sirini rus metallurgi P. Anosov (1799—1851) ochgan. Texnikada B. poʻlati deb yuritiladi.
