Bugenvil — Tinch okeandagi vulkan oroli, Solomon orollari toʻdasidagi eng katta orol. Papua — Yangi Gvineya tarkibida. Maydoni 10 ming km². Aholisi 159,5 ming kishidan ziyod (1990 i. l ar oʻrtalari). Balandligi 2743 m gacha. Nam tropik oʻrmonlar bilan qoplangan.
Yirik mis konlari bor, 1972-yildan foydalaniladi. Ruda zaxirasi 915 mln. tonnadan ortiq. Kokos palmasi, banan yetishtiriladi. Asosiy shahri — Kiyeta. Fransuz dengizchisi L. A. Bugenvil (1729—1811) nomi bilan atalgan.
