Boshmoq — 1) tormozda — vagonlarni toʻxtatish uchun temir yoʻl iziga qoʻyiladigan ponasimon moslama; 2) qoziqoyoq boshmogʻi — qoziqoyoqning pastki oʻtkir uchiga kiydiriladigan poʻlat uchlik; 3) texnologik B.— mashinalar oʻrnatiladigan va sozlanadigan tayanch; 4) qutbiy B.— elektr mashinalari magnit qutblarining bir qismi; magnit oqimi zichligining bir meʼyorda tarqalishini taʼminlaydi; 5) tayanch ustunning bosim asosga bir tekis tushishini taʼminlaydigan pastki qismi.
