Bau [1] (xitoycha anʼanaviy musiqiy cholgʻ) — metalldan yasalgan tilchali puflama cholgʻu asbobi hisoblanadi.
Musiqiy asbob Xitoyning janubi-gʻarbiy qismidagi Yunnan viloyati (provinsiyasi)dan kelib chiqqan, ammo bau puflama cholgʻusi butun Xitoyda ommabop va mashhur musiqa asbobiga aylandi; u hali ham zamonaviy xitoy kompozitsiyalarida qoʻllanadi. Ushbu puflama musiqiy cholgʻu yakkaxon sifatida ishlatiladi, uni bir qator film va mashhur kompozisiyalarda yordamchi cholgʻu oʻrnida eshitish mumkin.
Bau Xitoyda mashhur boʻlsa-da, musiqiy cholgʻu Evropada koʻplab bastakorlar va ijrochilar tomonidan yaqinda amalda tadbiq qilingan. Jumladan, angliyalik Roan Lich va Guo Yue, belgiyalik Rafael de Kok, gollandiyalik Hermann Vitkam baudan foydalanib kelishadi.
