Arok shahri — Markaziy ustonining markazidir. Bu shahr Fathalishohning buyrugʻi bilan 1812-yili Yusufxon Ganjiy tomonidan barpo etilgan. 1937-yilgacha „Sultonobodi Iroqi Ajam“ deb atalgan. 1937-yilda shahar „Arok“ nomi bilan nomlangan va 1977-yil Markaziy ustonining markazi deb eʼlon qilingan. Shahar harbiy maqsadlarda barpo etilgan. Shu boisdan shaharda qurilgan birinchi imorat toʻrt darvozali qal’a boʻlgan[1].
