Змагання з лижних гонок у скіатлоні серед жінок на зимових Олімпійських іграх 2014 пройшли 8 лютого. Місцем проведення змагань став лижно-біатлонний комплекс «Лаура». Змагання почалися о 14:00 за місцевим часом (UTC+4). Першу половину дистанції після масового старту — 7,5 км — учасниці пройшли класичним стилем, потім змінили лижі і палиці у спеціальній зоні і пройшли другу половину дистанції вільним стилем. У жіночому скіатлоні взяла участь 61 спортсменка з 24 країн. Олімпійською чемпіонкою 2010 року у цій дисципліні була норвезька лижниця Маріт Бйорген, яка захистила свій титул.

33-річна Бйорген довела кількість своїх олімпійських нагород до восьми (чотири золота, три срібла і одна бронза). 26-річна Шарлотта Калла виграла свою третю олімпійську медаль. Гайді Венг вперше у кар'єрі стала призером Олімпійських ігор.

Бйорген стала першою жінкою, яка виграла золото на Іграх у Сочі, раніше цієї дисципліни на Олімпіаді були розіграні лише медалі у чоловічому слоупстайлу у сноуборді.
