Західний Донбас — вугільний район України, у межах Дніпропетровської і Харківської областей, частина Донецького кам'яновугільного басейну.

Виявлено близько 40 пластів з робочою потужністю 0,6–4,6 м, що залягають на глибині 400–1800 м. Вугілля високоякісне, легко збагачується. Західний Донбас розвідано у 50-60-х роках XX ст.

Головними центрами Західного Донбасу є Павлоград, Тернівка, Першотравенськ.
