Вузол (хімія):

  • У квантовій хімії— точка, де амплітуда хвильової функції (стоячої хвилі) дорівнює нулю. Імовірність знайти електрон у орбітальному вузлі дорівнює нулю. Прикладом вузлової точки атомної орбіталі є ядро.
  • В електрохімії— точка з’єднання двох чи більше розгалу-жень у електричному колі.
  • У хемометриці— точка прийняття рішення в класифіка-ційному дереві, а також точка в нейронній сітці, що об’єднує вхідні сигнали з інших вузлів та продукує вихідний сигнал із застосуванням активаційних функцій.
  • У хімії полімерів— невеликі ділянки в макромолекулі, з яких розходяться принаймні чотири ланцюги, утворені при реакціях між різними групами в макромолекулі чи між самими макромолекулами. Мала ділянка може бути атомом, групою атомів, або певною кількістю точок розгалуження, сполучених зв’язками, групами атомів чи олігомерними ланцюгами. У більшості випадків вузол має ковалентну структуру, але термін використовується і для опису слабких хімічних взаємодій між ланцюгами та у випадках кристалічних утворень.
