Іштван Лассу (угор. Lassú István; 12 квітня 1797, Вішк, Габсбурзька монархія (нині Вишково Закарпатської області України) — 19 січня 1852, Пешт, Австрійська імперія) — угорський статистик, географ, фахівець з генеалогії угорського королівського двору. Член-кореспондент Угорської академії наук (з 1833). Один із засновників статистики в Угорщині.

Біографія

Навчався в Сігету-Мармацієй (1812—1823). Пізніше працював у державній адміністрації в Буді. Автор робіт в області статистики і географії. Його перу належить географічний опис Російської імперії, що вийшло в 1827 р угорською мовою, а також роботи по статистиці і географії Австрійської імперії, Франції, Англії, Польщі, Пруссії, Данії і Норвегії, країн Європи, Османської імперії, Алжиру та ін.

За наукову діяльність Іштван Лассу був обраний членом-кореспондентом Угорської Академії наук. На будинку, в якому він народився і деякий час жив у Вишкові, в 1996 році була встановлена ​​меморіальна дошка. Похований на будапештському кладовищі Керепеші.[3]
