Мініатюра

Мініатюра (фр. miniature, з італ. miniatura, від лат. minium «сурик») — ціла низка термінів у різних сферах, як гуманітарних (мистецтво взагалі і зокрема живопис, література, театр тощо), так і точних та інженерних (комп'ютерна графіка, книговидання тощо), що означає невеликий обсяг (розмір, формат тощо) предмету; ширше — взагалі будь-що невеликого розміру.
