Mektûbât veya Mektûbât-ı Rabbani,[1][daha iyi kaynak gerekli] Ahmed Sirhindî (İmam-ı Rabbani) kitabı.[1] İmam-ı Rabbani, mektuplarını yazdıktan sonra mektupları toplanarak Mektubat olarak derlendi.

İmam-ı Rabbani 25/26 Mayıs 1563 tarihinde Hindistan'da doğdu. 10 Aralık 1624'te Hindistan'da öldü. Ölümünün nedeni sıtmaydı. Çeşitli memleketlere göndermiş olduğu mektûplardan 536 mektûbu, üç cilt hâlinde toplanarak adı geçen eser meydana getirildi.

Derlenişi

Mektubat'ın birinci cildi 1616 senesinde talebelerinin meşhurlarından Yar Muhammed Cedid-i Bedahşi Talkani tarafından toplandı. Birinci cildde 313 mektup vardır. Bu cildin son mektubu, Muhammed Haşim-i Keşmi'ye yazıldı. İmam-ı Rabbani birinci cildin son mektubunu yazınca resullerin, din sahibi peygamberlerin ve Ashab-ı Bedir'in sayısına uygun olarak birinci cildin 313 mektup olmasını istedi.

İkinci cildi ise 1619 senesinde yine talebelerinden, Abdülhay Pütni tarafından toplandı. Bu ciltte Allah'ın hadiste geçen doksan dokuz ismi sayısınca doksan dokuz mektup vardır.

Üçüncü cild de İmam-ı Rabbani'nin vefatından sonra 1630 senesinde talebelerinden Muhammed Haşim-i Keşmi tarafından toplanmış olup, bu cildde de Kur'an'daki surelerin sayısınca 114 mektup vardır. Her üç cildde toplam 526 mektup vardı. İmam-ı Rabbani'nin vefatından sonra on mektubu daha üçüncü cilde ilave edildi. Böylece toplam mektup adedi 536 oldu.[1]
