MRAP

IDEF 2019 Savunma Sanayi Fuarı'nda bir Kirpi MRAP.

MRAP (İngilizce: Mine Resistant Ambush Protected), mayına dayanıklı ve pusuya karşı etkin koruma sağlayan ilk olarak ABD tarafından geliştirilmiş zırhlı, askerî arazi aracı.

Yol kenarına yerleştirilen bombalara karşı içinde bulunan personeli korumak için “V” şeklinde gövdeye sahip olan yüksek şasili araçlar, yoğun çatışma bölgelerinde bile güvenli sevkiyat sağlama kabiliyetine sahip. 4x4 ve 6x6 olmak üzere farklı tipleri vardır. Araç ağırlıkları ve boyutları dikkate alınarak 3 ayrı kategoriye ayrılır. TSK'nın kullandığı MRAP araçlar BMC ve Nurol Holding tarafından üretilmektedir.
