Kesendire (Makedonca: Касандра 'Kasandra', Yunanca: Κασσάνδρα 'Kassandra'), Yunanistan'ın Orta Makedonya bölgesinde Halkidiki Yarımadası'ndan birer parmak şeklinde güneye uzanan üç kara parçasından en batıda olanıdır ve yarımada üzerinde kurulu Halkidiki iline bağlı bir ilçedir.

Kesendire, Osmanlı Devleti döneminde bir kaymakamlıkla yönetiliyordu.[1] Halkı, 1821 yılında başlayan Yunan İsyanı'na Emmanouel Pappas önderliğinde katılmış; ancak kısa sürede isyan bastırılmış ve isyancılar Ege Denizi adalarına kaçmıştır.[2] 1908'de Kesendire Kaymakamlığı yapan Hasan Tahsin Uzer, Makedonya'da Eşkiyalık Tarihi ve Son Osmanlı Yönetimi adıyla kitaplaştırılan anılarında kaza merkezinde halkın Helenizm davası için çetelerle nasıl iş birliği yaptıklarının ayrıntılarını verir.[3] Kesendire, 1912'de Yunanistan'a katıldı. 1980'lerden itibaren ana gelir kaynağı turizm haline gelmiş; 2006'da çıkan orman yangınlarından olumsuz etkilenmiştir.[4]
