Fiji Kolonisi, günümüz Fiji topraklarında 1874'ten 1970'e kadar var olan bir kraliyet kolonisiydi . Londra, 1852'de Fiji Krallığı'nı ilhak etmek için ilk fırsatını reddetti. Ratu Seru Epenisa Cakobau, Tui Viti (Fiji Kralı) unvanını korumasına izin verilmesi şartıyla adaları bırakmayı teklif etmişti. Bu talep, hem Britanya tarafından hem de onu yalnızca eşitler arasında birinci olarak gören birçok kabile şefi arkadaşı için kabul edilemezdi . Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Donanması'na artan borçlar ve tehditler, Cakobau'nun borçlarını ödemek için Avustralya Polinezyası Şirketi ile yaptığı anlaşmanın ardından 1871'de Avrupalı yerleşimcilerin hâkim olduğu bir hükûmetle anayasal bir monarşi kurmasına yol açmıştı. Yeni rejimin çöküşü, onu 1872'de Britanyalıların kabul ettiği başka bir istifa teklifinde bulunmaya itti. 10 Ekim 1874'te Britanya, 10 Ekim 1970'e kadar süren Fiji'yi yönetme sürecine başladı.[1][2][3][4]
