Sa heometriya, ang plano ay isang patag, dalawang-dimensyong kalatagan na humahaba ng walang hanggang layo. Ang isang plano ay ang dalawang-dimensyong analogo ng isang punto (serong dimensyon), isang linya (isang dimensyo) at tatlong-dimensyong espasyo. Maaraing manggaling ang mga plano bilang sub-espasyo ng ilang mas mataas na dimensyong espasyo, tulad ng isa sa mga pader ng isang silid, na pinahaba ng walang hanggang, o maaring natatamasa nila ang isang malayang pag-iral sa kanilang sariling karapatan, tulad ng tagpo sa heometriyang Euclidiyano.

Kapag gumagawa ng ekslusibo sa dalawang-dimensyon na espasyong Euclidiyano, ginagamit ang tiyak na artikulo, kaya tumutukoy ang plano sa buong espasyo. Heometriyang Euclidiyano

Ipinagbigay-alam ni Euclid ang unang mahusay na palatandaan ng kaisipang pangmatematika, isang aksyomatikong pakikitungo sa heometriya.[1] Pinili niya ang isang maliit na buod ng mga walang depinisyong katawagan (tinatawag na karaniwang nosyon) at sinaligan (o inaksyom) na ginamit niya pagkatapos upang patunayan ang iba't ibang pangungusap na pangheometriya.
