Ang Distrito ng Bududa ay isang distrito sa Silangang Rehiyon ng Uganda. Tulad ng ibang distrito ng Uganda, ipinangalan ito sa 'pinuno' nito, si Bududa. Nagawa ang distrito noong 2006. Bago ito bahagi ito ng Distrito ng Manafwa.

Lokasyon

Ang Distrito ng Bududa ay napapaligiran ng Distrito ng Manafwa sa timog, Distrito ng Mbale sa kanluran, Distrito ng Sironko sa hilaga at Republika ng Kenya sa silangan. Ang punong-himpila ng distrito sa Bududa ay matatagpuan mga 23 kilometro (14 mi), gamit ang kalsada, timog-silangan ng Mbale, ang pinakamalaking lungsod sa sub-rehiyon.

Ang distrito ng Bududa ay isang bagong distritong nagawa noong 2006. Dati itong bahagi ng Distrito ng Manafwa. Binubuo ang distrito ng isang lalawigan, pitong seven (7) sub-lalawigan at isang konsehong bayan. Isa itong malaking distritong rural na may walong sentro ng pag-unlad na nasa proseso na nang pagiging bayan. Ang walong sentro ng pag-unlad sa Distrito ng Bududa ay ang:

Matatagpuan ang distrito sa taas na 1,800 metro (5,900 tal) sa lebel ng dagat. Mayroon itong mga palupo, bangin at kawayanan. Mayroon itong dalawang panahon ng tag-ulan at walang tag-init. Nasasakop ng Mount Elgon National Park ang mahigit-kumulang 40 bahagdan ng ditrito.[1]

Populasyon

Ekonomiya
